I've been writing and editing marketing content since 2002. This portfolio represents my favorite work, either work I created for clients or for my own business.

From mid-2023 through March 2026, I wrote a column for Forbes.com on the "content experience." The column was shuttered because the niche topic did not have sufficient readership. I wasn't sad, though; they paid me only $50 per article plus a meager amount for views. The work is mine, though! And I enjoyed learning new things, exploring new insights and sharing what I learned with my readers.

I've been freelancing since 2002 and have been responsible for strategizing, writing, editing, and publishing thousands of pieces. This collection is a curated portfolio of my recent work.

This collection houses my writing from Substack, where I now publish both my blog posts and — because Substack allows me to email my blog posts to subscribers — my emails.

This collection houses my writing from Medium. You may see some duplication with other collections, as I often shared my Forbes column pieces here as well as items from my blog.

This collection houses work from my blog, going at least 10 years back. You may find duplicate content here, as I brought old content from the old blog over to the new blog, and I also posted content I wrote for my Forbes column on the blog.

Deltiology — a word you might not see every day — is the study of postcards. I'm a deltiologist — I collect postcards! It's a hobby I began as a child and have carried with me as an adult. I'm also into penpals, stamps, currency, and postal history. This collection houses items from my postcard blog at TheLaptopTraveler.com. I look forward to having enough time to enjoy these delightful hobbies again! Please dive in and enjoy yourself. For most postcards, I've written descriptions about the images on the front, and perhaps the text on the back. Enjoy!
