Content Mentoring
Struggling with your content? You don't need another course. You need someone who'll read your work and tell you the truth.
That's what mentoring with me looks like: one-on-one, honest, and built around your writing, not a generic template. Together, we'll dig into what's working, fix what isn't, and sharpen your instincts so you stop second-guessing yourself. Some weeks, that means untangling a messy draft. Other weeks, it means talking you out of deleting your best paragraph. Either way, you leave every session a stronger writer than when you walked in. And your content begins looking oh-so sharp.
AI-Enabled Content Services
Let's clear something up: AI won't replace your voice. But if you use it right, it can help you find it faster.
I'll show you exactly how I use AI — the projects I run through it, the skills I lean on, the prompts I've spent months refining so the output sounds like something worth reading. It won't be theory. I won't give you an ebook with "100 Prompts." I'll bring you inside my real workflows and show you how I use AI as a thought partner, not just a content generator.
Thought Leadership Writing
Most thought leadership isn't very good. That's not an opinion; it's a stat. Multiple stats.
- 89% of decision-makers say thought-leadership content lifts their perceptions of a company.
- 49% say it influences buying decisions.
- BUT... only 15% call the thought leadership they actually read "very good" or "excellent."
- Worse, 38% say they've lost respect for a company after reading its content.
- And 27% say they walked away from doing business altogether because of it.
The bar is low, and most brands are still tripping over it. That's your opening. Unique, substantive thought-leadership content isn't a nice-to-have anymore. It's the difference between building trust and losing it. I'll help you create that trust through strategy, ghostwriting, and editing.
Editorial Calendar Strategy
What are you creating this week? Next month? The rest of the quarter? If you can't answer those questions, you're probably not planning. You're reacting. And reacting often looks a lot like this:
- I need an ebook on this topic because our competitor just published one!
- We haven't blogged in a while... better come up with a few ideas to keep Google happy.
- Our team can't handle another writing project right now; let's hire a freelance writer to slap together a pillar page for that service we launched last month.
Sound familiar? If you need a real editorial calendar, one that fills your pipeline with content that maps to your goals, I can help.
Content Writing
I've written millions of words since launching this business in 2002. All of them for one audience: the reader.
I ask questions readers might ask. I raise objections readers might raise. I hunt down every stumbling block that makes readers falter, lose trust, and click away. My goal is simple: Create great content experiences that lead people to say YES to your offers.
I write across the whole funnel, but I've got my favorites—client stories, blog posts, ebooks, landing pages, email nurture series, and direct mail letters.

Content Editing
I like writing, and I'm good at it. But I 💜 editing; it's my superpower! Hand me a piece of content, and I'll disappear into a flow state. Hours fly by before I even notice (or before my husband reminds me to get out of my chair).
I don't carry a red pen, though. I prefer the kinder, gentler purple. You won't catch me haughtily flagging typos or grammar slip-ups. I empathize instead, because I've been exactly where you are. Writing ability is a line, and we're all points on it. I'm somewhere along that line. Someone else is further up. And I used to be a lot further back.
My expertise lies in developmental editing, substantive editing, and copy editing. I also mentor thought leaders, content marketers, and anyone who wants to sharpen their writing and start seeing content through readers' eyes.
Content Workflows and Processes
Setting up your content workflow? Scaling one that's already creaking under its own weight? Either way, two things matter: iteration and efficiency. Iteration, because you'll keep tweaking as you go. Efficiency, because that's the whole point of having a process in the first place.
A few questions worth answering before you start:
- Where will you store your content, and what naming conventions will you use?
- What does the production workflow look like for each content type?
- What tool will manage the workflow?
- Who'll own quality? Who'll own governance?
- Should you hire or use freelancers?
- How will you measure whether anything you're doing is working?
If you need process or execution support, I can help.
Voice, Tone, and Style
Voice is your fingerprint. Not literally, but close. It's the phrasing you can't help but use, the jokes you tell, the opinions you don't soften. Voice is what makes a reader say, "I know who wrote this," even though your byline is covered up.
If voice is who you are, tone is your mood in the moment. You might be funny today, serious tomorrow, or a little heartbroken next week. Tone shows up in word choice, sentence rhythm, and point of view. Unlike with voice, it's okay if you shift it from piece to piece.
Style is the unglamorous stuff: the commas, capitals, spellings. It's the rules nobody notices until you break them. I've worked across both the AP Stylebook and Chicago Manual of Style. If you long for consistency in your content, pick one (or build your own), stick to it, and let that consistency do the hidden work of earning trust with every reader who scrolls through.
I can help you with voice, tone, and style, including creating an internal style guide.
Blogging and SEO
Billions of web sessions start with a search query, every single day. And with a billion-plus sites, plus AI search results now crowding the field, getting found isn't getting any easier.
That's where strategic pillar pages and blog posts earn their keep. Pillar pages, also called cornerstone or foundation posts, are the meaty ones—at least 2,500 words, comprehensively covering a strategic topic. They're supported by shorter blog posts that tie back to those themes and link to the pillar.
Blogging is a core piece of my expertise. I'll help you choose the right topic clusters, build a blog strategy and editorial calendar, and write SEO pillar and blog content designed to get found by the people searching for what you're offering.
Content Strategy
Content strategy is your roadmap from first idea to final distribution. And every roadmap needs a destination: your goals, your objectives, your KPIs. Strategy ties those together and tells you what to create, for whom, and where it should live.
Depending on where your company stands, that might mean:
- A content inventory and audit
- A competitive content audit
- A content gaps and opportunities analysis
- A content distribution plan
You wouldn’t set out on a long journey without a map. Your content shouldn't, either.
