Hi. I’m Renae Gregoire, a content marketing strategist, writer, editor, and process optimizer. I first knew I had a knack for writing when my 6th grade English teacher asked me to write for the school paper. In college, despite my English professor’s fierce objections, I followed the money instead of my heart and pursued a degree in accounting. In 2002, after my third child was born and I struggled to work a full-time accounting gig with three kids under three, I turned to freelance writing and haven’t looked back.
Since then, I’ve worked with companies of all sizes across industries as a content marketing strategist, marketing content writer, and senior editor. In 2021, I took a full-time gig as a remote content marketing writer for a fast-growing technology services firm. As the team scaled, I was instrumental in setting up content production processes using a combination of ClickUp, content briefs, templates, and an editorial calendar. I updated, maintained, and socialized the company’s style guide and was the lead content editor for marketing. I also architected a thought-leadership writing program to open the blog to the voices of subject matter experts throughout the company. When I was laid off in November 2022—my first time ever being laid off or even fired as an adult—I decided to return to freelancing.
